Cambodia is a unique and wonderful country surounded by some of the prettiest islands in mainland southeast asia. 

Cambodia is a Southeast Asian nation whose landscape spans low-lying plains, the Mekong Delta, mountains and Gulf of Thailand coastline. Phnom Penh, its capital, is home to the art deco Central Market, glittering Royal Palace and the National Museum’s historical and archaeological exhibits. In the country’s northwest are the ruins of Angkor Wat, a massive stone temple complex built during the Khmer Empire.

Angkor Wat is the largest religious monument in the world and one of the most incredible archaeological sites on the planet. Originally constructed as a Hindu temple, it was gradually transformed into a Buddhist temple towards the end of the 12th century.

Mekong Delta

Cambodia is where the Mekong River Delta comes alive at the feet of the Angkor Wat temple. This river provides ample tour and exploration opportunities as it provides food and life to all corners of the country.

Cambodia became a French colony and during the 20th century experienced the turmoil of war, occupation by the Japanese, postwar independence, and political instability. The history of the area and monuments left behind will astound even the most well versed of travellers.
